I just kinda take bits of relevant info from reviews and suggest stuff from what I've heard. However, I've heard that the HD559 is much more smoother on the bass than the SHP9500 (which is said to have a "grainy" texture according to some reviewers). Also the HD559 isn't as sibilant (piercing "s" sound) as the SHP9500 which is kinda harsh at times.The shp9500 are easily on of the bests starter headphones. Easy to run, you will never need any extra to run them. They are sturdy, sounds good enough, and very pretty IMO.
